In order to help students from the graduating classes maintain favorable learning attitude during the crucial review period and meet challenges in life comfortably and bravely, on the morning of 19th December, Anqing Foreign Language School specially invited teacher Zheng Ziyue, Distinguished Chief Lecturer of Top Teachers’ Auditorium in China, to make a special report about self-improvement and learning methods for all students from the Senior High Section.
Principal Assistant Qian Zhihong attended and chaired the seminar. More noticeably, also in attendance were Anqing Foreign Language School’s President Madam Huang Wenli, some school leaders and more than 1500 students from the Senior High Department.
After a humorous and intelligent prologue, Zheng Ziyue mentioned the phenomenon of Hengshui Middle School and stimulated students that success depended on hard work and efficient test preparation. He was quoted as saying, ‘Make mistakes in exams. Let the storm be more violent!’ ‘Each wrong answer before the College Entrance Examination is a precious gift from Heaven.’ Therefore, Zheng Ziyue analyzed the significance of sorting wrong questions with profundity and an easy-to-understand approach as well as scientific and effective review techniques. Afterwards, he motivated students to have firm belief, take actions and never give up easily to gain success.
Moreover, Zheng Ziyue reminded everyone that the College Entrance Examination itself was not what we were afraid of. Instead, being afraid of the Chinese Gaokao was the real big issue. Thus, it was more difficult when it came to the final phase and key points. However, students were supposed to build confidence, adjust mental attitude, willpower, control force and executive abilities to enter their dream universities. Other than that, he pointed out that on the road of life, students should be broad-minded, tackle complicated problems in a very easy manner, stay true to the original intention, have the motivation, courage and fortitude to prevail to leave an indelible mark on the life paper.
